The British Comedy Guide has revealed a suite of updates to improve service for its subscribers, merging their previous tiered subscription plan into one single, easy to navigate BCG Pro membership.
If you are already subscribed, you won’t face a price increase as long as you stay with your current membership. If you’re not a member already, you can get access for £90 per annum (or £45 for students) – sign up with code FunnyWomen for a £15 discount on your first year’s membership. Here’s what that subscription includes…
BCG are looking to massively expand their offerings through events and opportunities; this means more competitions, more networking, more industry connections giving you more chances to build your career. Look out for upcoming regional Events in Brighton (24th May) and Manchester (3rd June).
They are creating a new Script Library full of sample scripts, overhauling their Pitch Centre and launching a script consultancy service giving subscribers access to industry-quality feedback on their writing. The hope is that these services will increase your chances of getting noticed. Their refreshed BlackBook Database makes it even easier for you to connect with companies to collaborate with.
Their longstanding Gag-A-Week competition will still be running, but now the winners will be awarded points, and the highest scorer will be awarded a prize at the end of each quarter.
They have lost some underutilised tools like the Groups networking feature and Pro Profiles, though the latter will be launching as its own service later in the year.
This overhaul looks to serve its subscribers in the ways they need, with additional Features and Sessions to help users meet their creative goals.
