Funny Women is proud to be partnering with Gobby Girls and Funny Women Live includes a showcase of sketches from two sold-out runs of Gobby Girls: The After Party at the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre.
The all-female sketch sensation is returning to Soho Theatre for a run of four shows from 1st to 4th April so it’s fintting that they are celebrating with us as part of our bumper all-female comedy line up for Funny Women Live at the Comedy Store London following a special matinee performance to mark Live Comedy Day on 1st April.
Created by two female-led comedy production powerhouses, Gobby Girls Productions and Female Pilot Club, Gobby Girls is written and performed by a hand-picked bunch from the frontlines of TV and stand-up. The cast features – Alice Etches, Claire Rafferty, Jo Somner, Laura Evelyn, Lauren Davidson, Noor Sobka, Tonia Toseland and Verona Rose – with credits from Doctor Who to Derry Girls, from Horrible Histories to Top Boy. The writers are Funny Women Award winners and exciting emerging voices from all corners of the UK and many walks of life.
