In a ceremony hosted by Tom Allen at the Roundhouse, Camden, Channel 4 handed out the National Comedy Awards for Stand Up To Cancer.
Voted for by you, the general public, we were delighted to see 2016 Funny Women Awards finalist Rosie Jones (who was also nominated for Comedy Breakthrough Performer) present the Best Comedy Actress gong to Emma Mackey for Sex Education.
Rob Rinder and Al Murray presented Best Female Entertainment Performance to 2008 Funny Women Stage Award winner Katherine Ryan and the Special Caroline Aherne Award for Writing went to Sharon Horgan. The Victoria Wood Lifetime Achievement Award went to Billy Connolly.
The National Comedy Awards will be broadcast on Channel 4 this Saturday.
