Funny Women Awards alum Rachel Parris has written her first book, called Advice From Strangers: Everything I Know From People I Don’t Know. Set to be published in March, the book is a collection of life advice based on tips sourced from Parris’ audiences and promises to be an “uplifting feminist manifesto.”
Parris said: “When I asked hundreds of strangers to give me their best piece of life advice, I didn’t expect the results to be so wise, so funny, or so outright weird, or that their advice would inspire me to write a book. But here it is!
“I’m proud and excited to share this book, it is a real collaboration between me and my audiences. I hope you enjoy it.”
Publisher Myfanwy Moore said Parris: “has used advice from random strangers as a starting off point to explore contemporary society, social media and issues from the sublime to the ridiculous in a way that is funny, clever but also highly honest and moving”.
The publication ofAdvice From Strangers: Everything I Know From People I Don’t Know will align with Parris’ 2022 tour All Change Please, a show of stand up, songs and – maybe – some wise advice.
