In 2025 Funny Women proudly launched The Glitter Challenge, and this year we’re mentoring nine amazing women who have taken on a unique Comedy Challenge to raise vital funds for The Glitter Project. Each challenger is being mentored by an experienced comedian, helping them write and perfect their own unique five minute set. The challenge culminates with a night of stand up, our challengers appearing live on stage at the world’s largest arts festival, Edinburgh Fringe 2026.
The funds we raise from The Glitter Challenge will go towards giving women and non-binary people from all walks of life, access to incredible creative opportunities in a safe, inclusive environment.
Let’s meet our next challenger… Agathe Thorseth.
Agathe is a London-based Norwegian with the calm exterior of someone who definitely has her life together, and the inner monologue of someone absolutely spiralling in five different directions at once. By day she works in high-stakes sales, confidently closing deals across the UK and Nordics; by night she’s overanalysing text messages, questioning her life choices, and wondering why she suddenly owns three different “perfect” pillows that all feel wrong. Equal parts sharp, self-aware and accidentally chaotic, she brings a dry, observational take on modern life, dating, work politics, and the subtle art of pretending to be unbothered.
Her comedy draws on the contrast between polished ambition and real-life unpredictability, whether that’s navigating London life, decoding British social cues as a Scandinavian, or surviving corporate absurdity with a straight face. Stylish, outspoken, and just the right amount of unhinged, Agathe delivers relatable truths with a wink, a bite, and impeccable timing.
