James Burns

1) Full name: JAYDE ADAMS (Well Jayde Pricilla Gail Adams if you want my FULL name).

2) Hometown: Bristol (hence the subtle accent).

3) What/who is your comedy inspiration?:

Bette Midler with a dash of Matt Lucas.

4) How long have you been performing comedy?

Two terrifying years

5) How does it feel to be in the Funny Women Awards Final?

It's bloody great and I am so chuffed. I started performing when I was 6 at my Auntie Julie's Freestyle Disco Dancing School. For 10 years my poor mother dragged me kicking and screaming to classes and competitions in the knwledge that that performing experience would come in handy at some point – and it has (thanks Mum). However in 10 years I never placed in any finals because (believe it or not) I had zero confidence before I turned 21. I was shaking like a windy leaf during a hurricane during the semi final and I am over the moon about placing. I am really looking forward to the final and I wish all the (hugely talented) wims the best of luck.
