Despite living in the UK for nearly three years, I've never been north of London. So I'm awfully excited to be travelling up to Edinburgh this weekend for the Funny Women Race for Life Roadshow. Will I be seeing a castle afterwards? Almost certainly. Will I get lost and end up wandering the streets haplessly? Absolutely I will.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what both Kim MacAskill and Keara Patricia Murphy are going to bring to the stage on Sunday. Kim is already a Race for Life veteran, as she knocked their socks off at the Glasgow event two weeks ago. A pretty seasoned circuit-goer, I know she's supported people like Dylan Moran and Frankie Boyle, so her repeat performance will definitely be one to look forward to.

Then headliner Keara Murphy will be bringing her own brand of mirth to the Race for Life stage. Keara has had 5-star reviews for her Edinburgh Fringe shows and she's also no stranger to performing in front of large crowds of people, often combining her stand up with after-dinner speaking engagements making her the perfect fit for this Sunday's event!

If you're about in the Edinburgh area, do come along even if you haven't registered for the Race for Life event, you can support those making the 5k journey through Holyrood Park and see some great comedy along the way.
