Comedy Central on the Mind

Comedy and mental health. Are they as natural together as toast and Nutella? There’s a long-held belief in the creative industry that copywriters are alcoholics. I haven’t done a massive amount to shake off that stereotype, to be honest. I was given several litres of vodka for Christmas. By family members. At least it was […]

I’m sorry, I love you, Pure & Weary

I have a confession to make. Over the Valentine’s weekend, the lovely Pure & Weary sent me their latest YouTube video. I completely missed that email. I am a terrible person with a neglected inbox. This is my very public apology to these funny ladies, and your chance to see that video clip. I’m sorry […]

The one call we wanted – Ghostbusters is back

Sod your flowers. Keep your soppy cards. The best thing we got on Valentine’s Day was this 30-second teaser for… the TRAILER for the new Ghostbusters movie. Yes, a trailer for a trailer. And we still loved it. Here it is: Admittedly, there is no sign of our leading ladies (Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Leslie […]

Loath as I am to cover yet another Daily Mail story, this isn’t going to be another rant about feminism and people getting it right/wrong. This is, at its heart, a story about comedy. The video’s by Skit Box, […]

You are more than your shiny hair

Infomercials. A word that makes me instantly suspicious, it has to be said. I’ve never been a fan of those glib, 20-minute long ads that try to convince you the presenters really mean it. Who in their life has ever shown such rampant enthusiasm for a mop? The Representation Project’s YouTube channel put up one […]
