In 2025 Funny Women proudly launched The Glitter Challenge, mentoring 10 amazing women who have taken on a unique Comedy Challenge to raise vital funds for The Glitter Project. Each challenger will be mentored by an experienced comedian, helping them write and perfect their own unique 5 minute set. The challenge culminates with a night of stand up, our challengers appearing live on stage at the world’s largest arts festival, Edinburgh Fringe 2025.
The funds we raise from The Glitter Challenge will go towards giving women from all walks of life access to incredible creative opportunities in a safe, inclusive environment.

Jacovou is “the Founder of Propel, one of the UK’s leading independent digital talent businesses. With over 25 years’ experience, she has helped scale senior teams across the tech ecosystem. A passionate community builder, advisor, and startup investor, Melina champions diversity and inclusion, mentoring founders and advocating for a more representative industry. She’s a regular speaker and moderator, known for her energy, honesty, and unique interview style. Melina also founded Leading Together with Pride, a community for queer female professionals and allies. Her belief is simple: people make the business and storytelling creates opportunity.”
