The Gerety Awards, named for Frances Gerety, the copywriter who in 1948 coined the slogan “A diamond is forever”, has invited us to assemble a unique Funny Women Jury for the Humour Cut, which celebrates the finest of funny advertising and appreciates the artistry in making people laugh.
The Gerety Awards celebrate the best in advertising from around the world, bringing together international female led juries to curate the most powerful and creative examples of advertising campaigns across channels like TV/Cinema, Print, Digital, Radio, and many more.
Instead of categories, the Gerety Awards are judged by ‘cuts’ (like a diamond). Each cut will be judged by a series of international executive juries on the originality, creativity and quality of execution, creating a shortlist of finalists. These shortlists will be submitted to a Grand Jury of creative experts, creating a truly diverse and qualitative winners showcase across multiple creative disciplines.
The Jury for the Humour Cut will be led by Lynne Parker, our founder, who is joined by 11 other standout women from across the world who work with Funny Women, to find the most comical campaigns of the year.
This includes; Funny Women board member Rachel Creeger and development manager Kirstin Miller, our Ireland producers, Valerie Troy and Orla Diamantino, our North America producer; Robin Golinski, Kate McGann our Brighton producer, Lou Chatelain of Funny Women Live in Zurich, Weina Ma our Rotterdam Producer, Kate Billington of Funny Women Live in Taipei, Heli Parna our Brussels producer and Zola Batkhuyag, our newest producer in Mongolia.
