Pure writer Kirstie Swain, who adapted the story about OCD for Channel Four last year, is now working on a new comedy-drama with BBC Three called Ladybaby.
Made by Kudos, who produced Flowers, Ladybaby is set in Edinburgh and tells the story of a 35-year-old comedian who comes off stage one evening only to be met by a woman who turns out to be the daughter she gave up for adoption 20 years ago.
Named Bafta Breakthrough Brit in 2019, Kirstie Swain is no stranger to the stand-up world, having performed comedy for Funny Women shows, so we have no doubt her portayal of the live comedy circuit will be accurate!
