Get ready for quite the scroll down for this one, we’ve gone through the Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme, flicked past the pages and pages and pages of white-men-looking-baffled (t-shirt optional this year) and selected some shows we think you should see if you are heading up to Edinburgh this year…

Desiree Burch: Desiree’s Coming Early! Heroes @ The Hive – The Big Cave, 19:40, 1st-25th August (not 13th or 20th).
“Since winning the 2015 Funny Women Awards Desiree Burch has been on TV and radio. Now she’s back in Edinburgh with the traditional comedian ‘relationship’ show, though I suspect from the description that THERE IS A TWIST.”
Jayde Adams: The Ballad of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face, Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance Two, 21:30 1st-25th August.
“Another Funny Women Awards winner, 2014 champion Jayde Adams is always good for a song and catsuit, however this year Jayde’s gone serious and I can’t wait to see where this show is going…”
Fat Rascal: Unfortunate, Underbelly, Bristo Square, Ermintrude, 18:55, 1st-26th August.
“A musical parody centred around Ursula from Disney’s The Little Mermaid? Need I say more? Surely you’re hooked. HOOKED!”
Rosie Jones: Backwards, Pleasance Courtyard, Baby Grand, 19:00, 1st-25th August (not 12th).
“I didn’t manage to catch Rosie’s show last year due to scheduling clashes, her show was one of the many ‘ones that got away’ so I’ve made sure to fit her in this year and I can’t wait.”
Sarah Keyworth: Pacific, Pleasance Courtyard, Baby Grand, 17:45, 1st-25th August (not 13th).
“I did see Sarah’s show last year which is why I’m keen to catch Pacific and see what she’s come up with this year. No pressure.”

Sophie Duker: Venus, Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance Below, 19:00, 1st-25th August (not 14th)
“I’ve been following Sophie’s work for a while and am a regular at her show Wacky Racists. I’m looking forward to see what she can do with an hour and what Saima Ferdows direction brings out.”
Phoebe Robinson: Sorry, Harriet Tubman, 18:45, Assembly George Studios, 12th-25th August.
“I first came across Phoebe in her podcast 2 Dope Queens and am a fan ever since and I keep listening to her on Too Many White Guys. Happy to be able to finally see her live and not be limited to having her inside my eardrums.”
Sara Barron: Enemies Closer, Pleasance Courtyard, Upstairs, 20:30, 1st-25th August (not 13th).
“Sara’s show at last year’s festival was one of my favourites and even garnered a five star review, which for my first Ed Fringe review left my editor a bit worried [healthily concerned I’d say – Ed]. I’m looking forward to seeing what else she has up her sleeve.”
Courtney Pauroso: Gutterplum, Underbelly, Cowgate, Iron Belly, 21:40, 1st-25th August (not 13th).
“Courtney’s show was developed with the help of Dr Brown who has worked with Natalie Palamides in the past. I was lucky to chat to Natalie in one of Funny Women on the Fringe Podcasts and am really interested in their creation process. Looking forward to seeing the final result with another artist.”
Harriet Dyer: Dinosaur Show, Gilded Balloon Patter Hoose, 20:15, 1st-25th August.
“I saw Harriet for the first time at a Funny Women showcase and laughed the whole way through, which was surprising to me as the more surreal comedy doesn’t usually work for me. Curious to see if she’ll have me laughing for a whole hour.”
