Roseanne Barr’s eponymous hit 1990s sitcom Roseanne could be getting a reboot. The series ran from 1989 to 1999 and was the most watched show in the USA. Roseanne’s on screen husband John Goodman and TV daughter Sara Gilbert are apparently already onboard.
The revival seems very much on the cards, with eight episodes being presented to both TV networks and streaming services such as Netflix.
Members of the original cast seem keen too, Roseanne herself said on Twitter: “Of course I want to do a reboot of Roseanne — new political reality in our country will make for some great jokes!” and when John Goodman was asked if he’d like to return to Roseanne (which would be pretty spectacular considering Dan died in the last series of the show) he responded: “Oh, hell yes. The big ‘R’ and I did a pilot about five years ago that didn’t go anywhere.” He added they’d be “very happy to work together” if only they “could get everyone together…”
We’ll be waiting for Roseanne Barr to announce the Connors reunion soon!
