Charlotte Ritchie has been named as one of the stars of a new online sitcom, Working Girl, in development for Channel 4. The Fresh Meat and Call the Midwife actor will be playing the rather relatable role of a twenty-something juggling temp jobs.
Written by Nathan Foad and directed by Alicia Macdonald, the eight episodes of Working Girl will span 10-15 minutes and air on Channel 4’s on demand site All 4, produced by The Wagon.
Creative director Freddie Waters said their new comedy push “is by no means a change of direction…We will continue to work with brands who want to push boundaries and create entertaining campaigns. What it does is re-affirm our ability to tell stories and create content people actually want to watch.”
