2010 Funny Women Variety Award winner Gemma Whelan will be taking to the BBC Radio 4 airwaves with her character Chastity Butterworth in a chat show pilot. The Game of Thrones and Upstart Crow star will invite celebrity guests to partake in prim and proper discussion with the assistance of her butler Roger – played by Man Down’s Mike Wozniak.
Made by Yalli Productions, it’s been promised that the show will feature: “refreshing drinks and equally refreshing conversation with her very special guests.”
Considering her roles as Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones and Kate in Upstart Crow, Gemma revealed on ITV’s Good Morning Britain that she is rarely recognised while out and about – not even for Game of Thrones! Although: “It is happening a bit more now because I’ve had more to do this season.”
Tickets for the Radio 4 recording on Monday 18th July are available here.
