A revolutionary new UK comedy consultancy, REPPD, has been launched by former Funny Women Senior Producer, Kate Lennon with the aim of providing agent-level support to unrepresented comedy talent.

Positioned as the “business side of comedy”, REPPD’s Talent Experts work with comedians to strengthen their professional foundations, from personal branding and social media strategy to industry-aligned development and long-term career planning. REPPD operates on an accessible, affordably priced and high-quality personalised model, so there’s a pay-as-you-go agent on hand whenever you need one! Their mission is to break down the barriers obscuring opportunity and level the comedy playing field, because talent is talent and deserves recognition.

Director and Talent Expert, Kate Lennon, says REPPD was created in response to the changing demands of the modern comedy landscape and to empower the next generation of comedy talent; “Comedians today are navigating more than just the stage. They’re building audiences online, self-producing work and having to make strategic career decisions earlier than ever, and for those artists who haven’t got the support of an agent, it’s difficult to know what to prioritise. REPPD exists to provide unrepresented talent with the same tools, strategy, industry insight and developmental focus typically reserved for represented artists, giving them greater control over their own careers.”

Kate started working for Funny Women in 2014 and produced a high volume of their live comedy events, including workshops, conferences, corporate facilitation and the Funny Women Awards. She originated the workshop/comedy gig combination for Time of The Month, booked Brighton Nights and produced an Edinburgh Preview Season on the Good Ship Benefit.

Following her time with Funny Women, Kate worked for UTC Artist Management for 7.5 years, quickly becoming a Senior Talent Manager with a successful roster of 14 acts before creating REPPD. Drawing on first-hand creative industry experience, REPPD provides expert support and honest guidance from every perspective, and their extensive list of services includes:

● Career Analysis and Consultation
● Personal Branding and Positioning Advice
● Contract Assessment and Negotiation
● Resource and Asset Creation
● Targeted Introductions and Pitching
● Ongoing Development and Strategic Support

“Our aim is sustainability,” Lennon adds. “When performers understand their value, their positioning and how the industry operates, they’re better equipped to build careers that last.”

REPPD is excited to be working alongside Scout Creatives Ltd: “I’d been toying with the idea for REPPD for a few years, but didn’t know where to start,” Lennon says. “Alex and Tom took a punt on a radical new concept, quickly helped me to realise my vision and build the company, and I am very excited to be working with such a supportive team.”

Relay is a punk-musical one-woman show about love, family and chaos. It starts with a very unusual question: how do you make a baby with your partner, your best friend as sperm donor, and his boyfriend cheering from the side-lines?
