After the huge success of her stand-up shows What Would Beyonce Do? and Am I Right Ladies? it’s no surprise that Luisa Omielan now has a pilot show in the works with ITV2.
The comedian has been busy, touring the world, part crowd-funding her debut DVD. Now Luisa is working with other comedy writers on the pilot, which is not for broadcast and will be shot in the spring.
Luisa said: “I am really excited to be developing my own show. It’s a privilege to be working with King Bert Productions. It feels really nice to be writing something for TV with my own stamp on it.”
King Bert Productions executive producer and company co-founder Jo Sargent said of Luisa: “As soon as I saw her live, I knew Luisa had a hook and style instantly relatable to her audience, who like me, were hanging on her every word. She has an energy and spark that is just joyful. We are really looking forward to working with her. She is indeed a very funny lady.”
We agree!
If Luisa’s pilot goes down well with ITV2 bosses a series could be on our screens by the end of the year.
