This year, more than 250 judges from over 50 countries took part in the Gerety Awards, bringing together some of the most respected creative leaders from different fields of advertising, marketing, production, design, and media, who showed their powerful perspective by choosing the best creative work.

Funny Women proudly partnered the Gerety Awards in the Humour Cut for the second year running, and Funny Women founder and CEO Lynne Parker joined the grand jury for the first time.

The jury agreed on having three outstanding campaigns rewarded with a Grand Prix this year:

No Project Without Drama for HORNBACH by HeimatTBWA\ Berlin (Germany) in the Craft CUT-Production Design

The Count for Sickkids by Soundtree Music for FCB Canada in the Craft CUT-Music

The KitKat Heist for KitKat by VML UK wins 2 Grand Prix in the Communication CUT-PR and in the new category for this edition Moments CUT-PR.

Across different categories, VML UK, Soundtree Music, Edelman, NOMINT, McCann London, Havas London, SAMY UK, Publicis London, The Gate London, Final Cut and Sarah Lisgo & Agatha O’Neill win awards with campaigns for KitKat, Xbox, BBC, HP Smart Tank, John Lewis, Vanish, PETA, Bria AI, Plan International UK, Hoka, The Dad Shift and Amazon, among others.

The UK wins a total of 23 awards including 3 Grand Prix, 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 9 Bronze. The complete list of winners includes 4 Grand Prix, 34 Gold, 69 Silver and 75 Bronze, with first time recognitions for Tunisia.

Members of the Gerety Awards Grand Jury shared what stood out in this year’s winning work:

Lynne Parker said: “I’m thrilled to see The Kit Kat Heist winning in two categories for both seizing the moment and then the creative expansion of the message. Utterly brilliant! As for artistry and skill, HORNBACH was a hands down winner for me as somebody who works in the arts, particularly for its creative analogue approach with real singers, sets, music and more. A tour de force!”

Dipshika Ravi, National Creative Director, Schbang, India said: “In a year where everyone is chasing attention, the work that stood out was work that earned it rather than demanded it. The KitKat Heist is a particularly compelling example of this…what began as a brand ‘accident’ was transformed into an idea. The act of stealing KitKats became the communication, the PR, the cultural conversation and, ultimately, the proof of the idea. For me, that is a defining quality of Grand Prix-level work, when an idea is so well constructed that it doesn’t feel like advertising, but something you willingly engage with until the very end. The work doesn’t interrupt culture; it creates a moment within it.”

Maria Milusheva, CCO, OM Group & MUCH BETTER Bulgaria commented: “AI can manufacture content, but it cannot manufacture attention. KitKat did exactly that – they made a problem public and invited people to participate in solving it. That takes nerve. And audacity!”

Christen Rochon, Ad Partnerships Director at NBCUniversal, summed up with the following: “These works are more than a celebration of creative excellence. The greatest Grand Prix winners reflect influence, are proactive in its evolution, and create a permanent thread in the fabric of culture, leaving an impact that extends far beyond the moment.”
