Become a Funny Friend!

January is almost over (already!) and you’ve broken most of your new year’s resolutions, so what’s next on the agenda?

Funny Friends, that’s what!  We don’t mean getting a Rachel haircut or calling yourself Phoebe and singing ‘Smelly Cat’, (although that could be fun…) it’s far simpler than that.

Funny Friends is our discreet virtual community of people who invest in Funny Women and, in return, we give you some very special (central?) perks.   If you love comedy then this is the ideal New Year’s gift to yourself whether you want to watch or take part.

We set up Funny Friends just over a year ago to kick start some initiatives to support women to build their confidence, and encourage performance and participation skills.  Not just for comedy, but for business and everyday life too. The funding is used to provide open and inexpensive access to our skilled producers and facilitators with initiatives like the Weekend Comedy Academy, which we ran at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, and the launch of Time of the Month, our regular ‘work in progress’ meet up and scratch night.  We have also built up our community of funny female bloggers and are always encouraging more women to write for us and exercise their mental funny bones.

All we ask is for a one-off payment of £100 for a lifetime’s friendship.  In return for your dosh we give you free entry to Time of the Month in London (and some other locations to be announced soon), a VIP invitation to the annual charity final of the Funny Women Awards, which takes place in September this year at a very exciting new venue, and some exclusive Funny Friends events.

As if that isn’t enough, we donate £5 for every Funny Friend who signs up to the charity Refuge for women and children against domestic violence.

We need your friendship as much as you do ours, so if you sign up before the end of January we will give you a free place to the very next Stand Up to Stand Out Masterclass at Kings Place on Saturday 6th February, saving you £49.50!  We know, crazy, but we think you’re worth it!  Do you?

Join us now by paying here and we’ll be in touch with all the details.  See you there!
