We often take a trip down to Brighton for our regular Brighton Nights event at the Komedia but come May we expect to be by the sea on a regular basis as Brighton puts on one of the biggest fringe festivals in the world. The festival provides a diverse showcase for all kinds of art forms and runs from Saturday 3rd May to Sunday 1st of June.
The Brighton Fringe Festival kicks off as our 2014 Funny Women Awards heats get going and we suspect it will be hot bed of great shows perfect for nominating in our Best Show category, well before the closing date of Sunday 25th August. Performing your own show at the Brighton Fringe Festival? Rising star Elf Lyons is a 22-year-old pervert – but a friendly one. Join her as she explores the meaning of being perverse, sharing her love for the London Underground, the female form, and erotica. “Real highlight of the night” (Feminist Times 'One to Watch'). “A clever observer and raconteur … her unabashed, suggestible humour reminds me of Noel Fielding” (Ed Fringe Review).

Various Artists & Pink Fringe Present Women on the Verge
Loose-moraled, skintight cabaret-comedy-performance mash up featuring the most audacious women of Brighton Fringe. Lynn Ruth Miller hosts a fabulous female line up including Foxy & Husk, Rosana Cade and Cameryn Moore.

Abigoliah Schamaun is Working on it

The Comedy stylings of Kat Bond and Lorna Shaw make up this fantastic double-act who recieved lovely press at Edinburgh 2012 with 'Happy to Help'. Their 2013 show 'Never Liked her Anyway' received rave reviews and had audiences dancing in the aisles – it transferred to the Soho Theatre in 2014. These multi-skilled performers do everything from puppeterring to ballroom dancing to apprearing on BBC Radio 4's Sketchorama.
