All of us here at Funny Women HQ are sad to be missing out on the Glasgow International Comedy Festival over the next couple of weeks – but we’re delighted to hear that they’ve got a whole load of funny ladies performing, including the wonderful Anna Devitt!

Having been a semi-finalist at last year’s Funny Women Awards, as well as a finalist for the New Act of the Year Awards 2013, Anna also heads up comedy production company DirectDevitt – organizing events, workshops and training days along with a plethora of comedy events and shows.

Comedy sketchshow Made in Scotland: The Only Way Is Glasgow brings a whole host of characters to the festival, featuring Anna alongside Staria Jones (wannabe drag queen), Mac Kinnon (Glasgow Buildy) and chat show host Truffle.  These characters have been traveling around as far as Henley-on-Thames, up partying in Manchester, waking up in hotels in Liverpool with randomers claiming to be “the audience” and generally getting into mischief. We’re told that there’ll be product placement throughout the show and very possibly partial nudity too – sounds like an event that needs to be seen to be believed! If you’re up in Glasgow for the Festival, catch this one while you can.

"…Extremely well-written material in an open and confident style. The quality of her material ensures no loss of pace."Gigglebeats

You can catch Made in Scotland: The Only Way Is Glasgow at The Space, Glasgow from Wednesday 27th – Friday 29th March at 8.30pm. For more information and to book tickets, click HERE.
