Well, gosh, the U.S.A certainly had us worried for a moment there! With Mitt Romney's oppresive view of how to deal with women in the offing, we at the Funny Women office had all our fingers and toes crossed for another four years of President Obama.
Thanks to Romney, Akin, and Mourdock's comments on reproductive rights, the Obama campaign knew exactly where to focus to win women's votes this year. Accusing Republicans of a "war on women", they focused on reproductive rights, access to health care and the wage gap.
Will this feminist streak continue for the next few years? We've got all our toes and fingers crossed.
