With a spectacular display of arguably the greatest talents to emerge from the British music scene, the Olympics have come to a dizzying finish and London will become busy again.
Lest we forget though that in two short weeks the Paralympics will begin and Great Britain will once again be swept up in pride as we cheer on our fantastic athletes. In this short lull between the most important sporting events of our generation, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe will shift into super gear and the Arts will take their celebratory place alongside sport in 2012, the year of Creative Scotland.
As the weather takes a fresher turn, the spirits of everyone in Edinburgh refuse to be dampened. There is comedy to see, music to enjoy and theatre to love!
Celebrating and promoting great female comedy is the driving force behind Funny Women which is here in Edinburgh celebrating 10 years with the help of great sponsors, Benefit Cosmetics and East Coast. Our run at the Fringe this year has included some of the most brilliant talent with a daily show at 2.00pm in the heart of George Square Gardens, the new home of Assembly.
Today’s show is a stunner and we are delighted that it will be hosted by the formidable Barbara Nice and feature appearances from Abi Roberts, DeAnne Smith and Dolly Slateman!!
Our fabulous headliner today is Suzy Bennett, past winner, and newly signed to an impressive management deal! Catch her while you can, both with us today or in her own show, see the review HERE.
