Following the success of Funny Women's workshops over the last two years, we've now launched our first comedy course and taking bookings.  Numbers are limited so that participants can benefit from some first hand coaching from the Funny Women team and some fantastic visiting tutors.

The first tutor to come on board is Katy Schutte, who is one of the UK's top improvisational comedians.  She performs and teaches improv comedy, specialising in long form.  She is a Funny Women Awards finalist and winner of the Brighton Festival Fringe Best Comedy Show award.

Katy has been one of the Maydays for 7 years, she has performed with Fluxx and Rideout, improvises musicals with Music Box and is half of the 5-star two woman long form show Katy and Rach.  Katy studied improv at Second City and iO Chicago and has had the pleasure of learning from some of the world's finest improvisers. She now coaches 8bit, the sensational London long form team.

Katy spent several years performing and writing with BAFTA nominated sketch satire company the Treason Show.  This year she did her first season writing and acting with Fringe First winner and Perrier nominee NewsRevue at the Canal Cafe Theatre.

Katy is currently storylining and directing a series of improvised film shorts with Back to the Feature and making Katy & Rach webisodes with Brian Mitchell and Jibba Jabba.

Katy will be imparting her wealth of knowledge on Saturday 22nd October, the last session of the course which runs on four consecutive Saturday's: 1st, 8th,15th and 22nd October from 10.00am to 1.00pm.  For more details click HERE
