We have been crunching numbers, reviewing judging forms and perusing video from this summer's Funny Women Awards Heats, the last of which took place last week in Edinburgh. The standard has been incredibly high and it has not been an easy job to narrow down that list!
We are very happy to be announcing the long list. This comprises of participants who the judges have rated highly and have caught the producers' eyes. Everyone on the long list should be commended on their performance and material.
From here, we will be announcing the list of those who will be invited to go through to the quarter finals, which will take place in London on September 10th by email and phone after the long weekend.
