Surviving Actors provides events throughout the year to help actors sustain themselves in a notoriously difficult profession.  This is the second event that Funny Women has been involved with and the convention in Manchester this coming Saturday will fall into three categories – develop, create and sustain.

We’ll be there between 12.10 to 12.40pm talking about how you can Stand Up To Stand Out and tickets for our session are just £3.50.

We’ll also be on hard throughout the day to talk to performers about how thy can explore their funny side to build self confidence, deal with stage fright and cope with audition butterflies!  All this and we're rounding off the day's events with the Manchester heat of this year’s Funny Women Awards from 5.00 to 6.00pm

BOOK YOUR PLACE for the seminar and entry to the Funny Women Awards is free.

As well as meeting the team from Funny Women, attendees can meet photographers, show-reel companies and other industry-related professionals who provide services to progress an actor's career. Actors will also meet companies who provide additional training to refresh, focus and develop their craft.

A key part of the convention is helping actors to sustain themselves in between jobs. There will be a forum for promotional companies, teaching agencies and other companies who employ actors for regular but flexible well paid work that is useful in between acting jobs.

Surviving actors also creates opportunities for actors to meet others looking to produce independent projects and small theatre companies recruiting actors.

Entry to the Surviving Actors convention is completely free for actors to attend – all you need to do is register HERE to make sure you have a place.

We’ll see you there!
