OK so you could spend Sunday evening slumped on the sofa full of roast dinner, wondering why there's nothing good on the telly… or you could be having fun with us in the Lounge at the Leicester Square Theatre, one of the most exciting venues in London to see emerging new comedy, with another action packed heat for this year's Funny Women Awards.

The competition has exceeded all our expectations and the commitment of the women who've entered so far has been incredible. We've received more entries in the last couple of weeks as the Awards have gained momentum and we head towards the summer Festival season.

So, come along and support the brilliant new talent we attract each year and also be right royally entertained this Sunday in central London by two of last year's winners, Gemma Whelan as 'herself' (yes, Chastity is locked up for the evening to give Gemma a chance to get out!) and songbird Rachel Parris, who's lyrics will amaze and entertain you.

We now need audiences and if you're a comedy virgin, Funny Women is a great way to get familiar with the genre. In fact our audiences usually provide the surprises – we had a punch up at last year's final and a woman showed us her breasts at a show earlier this year! We can't wait to see what the audience has in store for us this Sunday!
