Supermarket Sheepish

Because I’m a busy, working and active woman (read: lazy), I often order my monthly food shop online. On the face of it, having groceries ferried directly to your door at a chosen time seems attractively convenient. Attempting to commandeer a wayward trolley – there’s always at least one wonky wheel – in search of that elusive last […]

Cut Out Carb Cutting

It’s January! That means dieting, yay! Because clearly you overdid it at Christmas dinner – that’ll teach you not to measure out your gravy with a pipette. And that celebratory glass of fizz to see in the New Year coincidentally had about 2014 calories in it, too. It’s time to run, swim, skip, foxtrot or maybe even oscillate […]

First Stop Singlesville

“Look, you know what the reason for all of this stuff in the first place is, yeah? It’s these two things you’ve got stuck on the sides of your head… They’re your ears, and you never bloody use them. What? No, just listen. Listen for once in your life. Stop talking over me. You know what, I’m […]

Anyone who’s spent more than five minutes in London at any point in their life will probably have encountered the Underground, the capital’s ever-expanding subway.  It’s ‘the Tube’ to many, ‘the bloody stupid useless frigging Tube, ugh’ to others, and the inescapable labyrinth of nightmares to far more. I moved to London two years ago, […]
