Sandi Toksvig is the host of a brand new TV show where participants compete over who can do the best house renovation, but here’s the twist; it’s a doll house!

The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge airs on More 4 and will appeal to ‘miniacs’, those who create miniatures. Toksvig will be digitally shrunk in order to tour the doll house designs as well as visit real stately homes across Britain, to look at their opulent interior design.

Challenges range from crafting a weeny Regency-inspired dining room, to designing an diddy art deco bathroom, fitted with a fully plumbed bath. Judging the series are interior design guru Laura Jackson and world-record-holding miniature sculptor Willard Wigan MBE.

Toksvig said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be hosting The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge. Finally a TV show in my size. I can’t wait to marvel in miniature.”

Clemency Green, Channel 4’s commissioning editor, said: “I am hugely excited about this tiny show; big ideas and mighty ambition encapsulated in miniature perfection. It’s a magical world and I’m utterly thrilled that Sandi, Laura and Willard are going to be part of it.”

The show is being made by Welsh-based production house Yeti.
