We are officially announcing that registration for the Stage Award and Comedy Writing Award sponsored by Sky Studios and NextUp Comedy Shorts Award has closed for 2021.
However, there is still time to nominate a friend (or yourself!) for the brand new heat Content Creator Award, which closes on 14th September 2021 here.

We just wanted to keep you up to date with the process of the 2021 awards with some key dates for your diaries.

Judging Process
Round one
Every entrant is scored by at least two different viewers from the world of live and broadcast comedy industry.
Round two
The top 100 videos are then reviewed and scored by new industry figures. The top-scoring candidates from those 100 entrants will go through to the heats.
These entrants will be announced 13th July 2021.
Heats
Heats will take place w/c 19th July 2021.
Semi-finalists will be announced 10th August 2021.
Semi-Finals
Semi-Finals will take place on 23,25,27.29 August 2021 with finalists revealed shortly after the night.
Final
10 finalists will compete at the Stage Award final on the 23rd September at Bloomsbury Theatre, London.

NextUp Comedy Shorts Award and Comedy Writing Award sponsored by Sky Studios
Judging Process
Every entry is allocated to a panel of judges from Funny Women and the comedy and broadcast industry. Every entry will be scored by at least two different judges before the marks averages are worked out and the longlist created.
Those lucky enough to be on the longlist will be announced on 10th August 2021.
Again, all entries will be judged twice before their scores are averaged and those with the highest marks are shortlisted.
The shortlist will be announced on 31st August 2021.
These shortlisted entries will then be judged by each of our exclusive panel of top industry professionals, who will then decide which will make it to the top three.
The top three will be announced on 14th September 2021.
The winner of each award will be announced at the Funny Women Stage Award final on the 23rd September at Bloomsbury Theatre, London.
