Comedians aren’t just at risk of cabin fever during this time of social distancing and self-isolation, gig cancellations have meant not just loss of earnings but also fewer chances to try out new material or build audiences. However, being a creative lot, comedians have been flexing their comedy muscles online, using YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and other sites to connect with audiences, new and established alike. Primadonna Festival will be going live on Funny Women’s Facebook at 8pm today (31st Friday) with a challenge: Make Sioned Laugh! In this gameshow women will try to make Sioned William, Radio 4’s commissioner for comedy in three minutes! Lynne Parker and Naomi Paxton will also be on board to help judge.

Fern Brady will be hosting the Edinburgh Unlocked audiobook, released on 6th August, for those who still want their hit of the Fringe which has been cancelled this year. The audiobook will feature Sofie Hagen, Lou Sanders, Jen Brister, Kemah Bob, Chloe Petts, Yuriko Kotani, Shelf and more!
