Author, comedian and 2019 Funny Women Awards host Katy Brand is set to join the cast of the West End production Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, alongside Rufus Hound.

Production has also begun on a UK tour of the musical starring Layton Williams, and a major motion picture set to star Richard E. Grant, Sharon Horgan and Sarah Lancashire being released in October. However, the original production continues to run at the Apollo Theatre, where it is now in its third year and continuing to play to sell-out audiences.

Katy Brand will play Jamie’s schoolteacher Miss Hedge. As well as her own sketch show and on comedy panel shows, Brand, who has also appeared in Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Peep Show and Grandpa’s Great Escape said: “If I could tell my teenage self that I would one day have the chance to perform in a huge hit show on the West End stage, that girl would pinch herself.  Jamie gets to realise his dream every night, and now so do I!”

Brand will play the role from 3rd March to 20th June. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is currently booking at the Apollo Theatre until 29th August 2020.
