Katie Pritchard has won this year’s Musical Comedy Award! The comedian, actor and musician is on a winning streak, having also scooped 2Northdown’s new act competition earlier in the year.
Pritchard’s educational and witty songs dazzled the judges, a panel made up of Funny Women’s Lynne Parker, comedy critic Bruce Dessau, British Comedy Guide’s Mark Boosey, comedy agent Claire Cruickshank, editor Rupert Dannreuther, Leicester Square Theatre’s David Hardcastle and Paul Weedon, agent at Red 24 Management.
Second place was awarded to Stepdads while Maris Piper scooped third place and the WeGotTickets Audience Favourite Award.
Huge Davies, Louis Burgess, The Dragprov Revue, Jamie Finn, Matt Hutson, Joe Jacobs, Charlie Partridge and Paul Silky White also competed in this year’s final.
Congratulations to Katie from the Funny Women team!
