Sara Pascoe has revealed that she will be making a travel documentary for BBC Two. The comedian travelled across Turkey with blind entrepreneur and presenter Amar Latif for the show, which currently has the working title Travelling Blind.
News of this travelogue is welcome after the recent Twitter furore regarding the lack of women-fronted travel shows, ignited by 2009 Funny Women Awards winner London Hughes who revealed she and Whoopi Goldberg had failed to sell a travel show.
2019 is a busy year for Pascoe, who announced on Chris Evans’s Virgin Radio show that she is recording not one, but two performances of her show Lads, Lads, Lads at London Palladium in March, set to air on BBC Two later in the year – apparently as a safety measure in case one is ‘shit’.
The comedian will also be a panellist on Dave in new show Hypothetical in February and her next book Sex Power Money in which she explores masculinity, sex ed and porn, will be published in August.
