Julia Davis has a new comedy in the works for Sky One, due to air this year, Sally4Ever. The series tells the story of Sally who has lived a comfortable but dull life in the suburbs with David for the past 10 years. However, when David proposes to Sally she has a crisis and begins a wild affair with Emma, a seductive and bohemian actor. Before she knows it, Emma has moved in, rearranged Sally’s furniture and her whole life.
Emma will be played by Julia Davis, while Peep Show’s Catherine Shepherd will play Sally and Alex Macqueen David. The impressive cast also includes Julian Barratt, Joanna Scanlan, Mark Gatiss and Felicity Montagu.
Jon Mountague, head of Sky Comedy, commented: “They say never work with your heroines – balls to that! Julia’s as much fun to work with as her shows are to watch. Hunderby and Camping bear that out and her latest uniquely brilliant comic creation is genuinely breathtaking.”
Executive vice president of HBO Programming, Amy Gravitt said: “We’ve been in comedy awe of Julia for many, many years. We’re thrilled to be a part of her latest stroke of genius.”
