Jan Ravens is a woman of our time, or in Jan’s particular case, a whole host of women!

That’s why we are so over the moon that Jan and her cast of wonderful impressions have agreed to host the 15th charity final of the Funny Women Awards in support of UN Women HeForShe which takes place in London on Monday 12th March.

Our spangly annual Awards showcase the best and brightest rising stars of female comedy selected from over 400 acts seen in 25 heats and six regional finals across the UK.  With the footsteps of past winners and finalists like Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Sarah Millican and Susan Calman to follow in, this year’s talent need a firm hand at the helm.

Who better than Jan’s pin-sharp versions of Theresa May, Kirsty Wark, Fiona Bruce, Sandi Toksvig and Hillary Clinton to keep proceedings in order.

Jan has been portraying these women and more around the UK in her sold out touring show, Difficult Women, which took Edinburgh Fringe by storm last summer. For fans of BBC Radio 4’s Dead Ringers our final is an opportunity to see a master impressionist at work and witness the start of some more exceptional comedy careers.

Tickets for the Funny Women Awards Charity Final on Monday 12th March at the Duchess Theatre, Covent Garden are now on sale and you can book here. The show is a signature event as part of HeForShe Arts Week, 8th-15th March.
