I set up Funny Women in 2002 to provide a new platform for female comedy, since then we’ve showcased some of the best female talent in the UK and helped them achieve their true potential. I am delighted to say we have launched the 15th annual Funny Women Awards, you can register to enter here!

We have been blessed to work with some exceptional sponsors, so we know how to mobilise when these relationships come to a natural end.  Indeed, Benefit Cosmetics and Funny Women have parted ways after an amazing five-year partnership and we’re on the look-out for some new companies to work with us to develop and grow the Awards.

Our Awards have already helped to launch the careers of thousands of new female comedians including Katherine Ryan, Zoe Lyons, Sara Pascoe, Bridget Christie, Sarah Millican, Susan Calman, Jayde Adams and more. We now have four Awards categories, covering performance, writing, film making and ‘best show’ and last year saw a record number of entries with over 500 women taking part.

So, if you fancy yourselves as comedy gurus get on board!  We have all the important marketing bases covered and can cook up some spectacular bespoke promotion and visibility for your company via our events, website and social media platforms.  We can also fundraise for your favourite charity to meet your CSR objectives.

We also have a busy corporate business and Funny Women is increasingly well known for producing events and campaigns around building confidence, women’s leadership and diversity.  We work for some of the world’s leading companies including JLL, Lloyds of London, Aon, PwC, Accenture, Investec and Mastercard.

Now that I have got our credentials out of the way, how about we come and talk to you and your colleagues about Funny Women?  If you want to see us in action, we can run a workshop that demonstrates how humour is a really powerful vehicle for change, diversity, communication and understanding in the workplace; or we can write a script or make a film for you. We’ve even won awards for some of our work for JLL.

Most of all though, we would love to talk to you about sponsoring this year’s Funny Women Awards, so email me lynne@funnywomen.com to make an appointment and we will invite you to an exclusive showcase at Channel 4 on 22nd March.  If you can’t wait that long come you can come along and see some live comedy on the RS Hispaniola in London or Komedia in Brighton.
