2015 Funny Women Comedy Writing Award winner and 2016 Funny Women Comedy Shorts Award finalist Christine Entwisle has won the award for Best Scripted Comedy at the BBC Audio Drama Awards for her BBC Radio 4 play Secret Kebabs.
Christine told us: “I’m delighted to have won the Best Scripted Comedy award – I was up against some wonderful competition including the brilliant Felicity Montague and her co-writers and performers, one of whom was her daughter Olivia.”
But Christine is not resting on her laurels, “I am currently finishing editing my web series which I have made in collaboration with Kirsty Woodward, and the short film ManHunt which I made for the Funny Women Comedy Shorts Award will be at the Keswick Film Festival this month. In writing news I hope to begin with my new play Murmuration about voice hearers inspired by time spent as artist in residence at Mind.”
The writer and performer also plans to have a crack at stand up soon – we will see you at our Time of the Month workshops Christine!
