Charity Chuckle is back, raising money and awareness for two Sussex women’s charities, Rise and Survivors Network, as part of a global 16 days campaign to end violence against women. For its seventh outing on comedian Bridget Christie will be headlining a packed show, MC’d by Jen Brister.

Bridget and Jen will be joined by 2016 Funny Women Awards winner Harriet Braine who will be regaling the audience with her hilarious and musical take on art history, the multi-talented Jo Neary, the dryly hilarious Athena Kugblenu, Sajeela Kershi, Julie Jepson and Laura Lexx.

Promoter Kerry Herbert said: “After recent events it felt more important than ever to come together and say, ‘No, it’s not ok to abuse women!’ We’re proud to return to Charity Chuckle to raise awareness of the charities in Sussex who support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I am thrilled that Bridget Christie has agreed to headline our night for this cause. I’m looking forward to seeing her and all the other fantastic acts.”

A laugh with the feel good factor, Charity Chuckle is the South-East’s Number one comedy fundraiser, showcasing top UK stand-up talent to benefit local charities. So far Charity Chuckle has raised £20,000 for the community – all through laughter!
