Look out for new comedy drama Seriously Dead by writing team Leah Bell and Crissy Rock; Benidorm fans will be delighted to know that Crissy Rock stars in Seriously Dead alongside Leah Bell and Frazer Hines of Emmerdale and Dr Who fame.

This is a very funny, fast and slick show with delightful music by Mike Redway and a talented cast including Billy Pearce as Billy, Paul Dunn as Tristan De Winter who is the campest undertaker ever with newcomer Andrew Dawson as his assistant.

The action takes place in a dead quiet cafe next to a funeral parlour in a sleepy little town called Olwinskirk. Betty Blinkindsopp (Crissy Rock) arrives to bury her dead husband but some very unusual events occur, galvanised by the arrival of Albert Blunderstone (Frazer Hines) a rogue and some time bank robber.

No spoilers, but there is also an angel and a very truculent St Michael at the Pearly Gates. Crissy Rock gives an excellent performance as the bereaved but hard-hearted Betty and plays the sex bomb to the hilt; the tart without a heart! Leah Bell is hilarious and endearing as Thelma,  the disgruntled little angel in love with Billy the cafe owner. British Comedy Award winner Pearce is great fun as the hapless Billy and plays him with a touching sincerity and spot on comedy timing. Their duet of Loving You is one of the highlights of the show.

As scurrilous bank robber Albert, Frazer Hines is thoroughly charming, roguish, and entertaining and sings the title song Seriously Dead with aplomb. It is a pleasure to watch him on stage.

Seriously Dead is a thoroughly cheering and entertaining night out and the audience loved it. You should take the show’s tagline seriously: “HEALTH WARNING: THIS SHOW COULD SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR CHEEKS!”

Seriously Dead is playing dates till May 2017 with further dates to be confirmed. For more information click here!
