Comedian and author Dawn French is leading a spangly cast in a new four part show on Sky1. Delicious is set in Cornwall; a story about love, heartbreak, food and female friendship.

Iain Glen, Emilia Fox and Sheila Hancock are joining Dawn in Delicious in which she plays Gina, a brilliant cook who is divorced from chef and hotel owner Leo Vincent (Iain Glen). Much of his success is down to Gina’s cookery skills. He is now seeing Emilia Fox’s character Sam who is suspects he is having an affair. Confiding in Gina, Sam discovers that it’s Gina who is the ‘other woman.’ Dun dun duuuuuuun!

Emilia Fox said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Sky’s new drama Delicious. As a starter it’s heaven to be working with Dawn French and Iain Glen again. For main course – an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts. For the perfect recipe – a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can’t wait to tuck in!”

Iain Glen said that the Delicious script was: “Funny, poignant and unpredictable. I can’t wait to dig my teeth into this feast of a drama.”

Dawn French promises: “Cornwall, summer, sunshine and the other S word – it will be Delicious fun.”
Anne Mensah, Head of Drama, Sky said: “It’s incredibly exciting to welcome Dawn French to Sky1. We’ve been wanting to work with her for a long time and Delicious is just the perfect project. It’s funny, surprising and audacious but also compelling and emotional. Plus the wonderful Cornish countryside – it’s going to be a fabulous treat for our audience.”
Delicious will air on Sky1 this year
