This year Sandi Toksvig was made president of the Women of the Year, but that's not the only reason the organisation has to celebrate. 2015 marks the 60th anniversary of the Women of the Year and they are marking it by raising funds for their foundation to support young women and gathering a panel of the sharpest and funniest female comediennes to delight and entertain Women of the Year Alumni and guests on Sunday 10th May at 6pm at the Royal Court Theatre.
Led by their new president, Sandi Toksvig, a panel of the UK's wittiest women, including Maureen Lipman, Jo Brand and Kathy Lette, plus Stephen Mangan will amuse and uplift by answering questions, dropping bon mots and sharing their take on life, art and why we are all so concerned about 'keeping up appearances'!
An event not to be missed and open to all get your tickets at just £30 a head for drinks and entertainment!
The Women of the Year Foundation helps young women in society who may otherwise never have a chance to shine or make their mark. From music therapists to pastry chefs, to inventors, teachers and inspirational young leaders, the foundation's funds have been making a difference around the world for the last 15 years. Lives have been changed in Hastings and Afghanistan – and from King's Cross to Iraq. With your help and support for this very special evening, they will be able to continue the great work of the foundation through more life changing projects which help so many people whilst enjoying with you their special 60th anniversary.
