On top of holding the Funny Women Pop Up Fringe at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – we’re delighted to let female comedy fans know that we will be curating a stage at the legendary List party on the 1st of August at Summer Hall! We’ve been busy programming a show with some of our loveliest friends and favourite acts on the comedy circuit, as they prepare for their Edinburgh shows. If you're lucky enough to be on the list (boom boom) for the show, then we'll see you there!
Wild granny Lynn Ruth Miller will be showing the young folk how to really go wild ahead of her show at C Venues. 2012 Funny Women Awards finalist Lucy Frederick will be giving us a snippet of her show 'In Pursuit of Cool' at Laughing Horse at the Free Sisters and we’ve also invited comedy duo That Pair who are in Edinburgh with their show ‘Never Liked Her Anyway’ at Just the Tonic.
Funny Women Awards finalist Amy Gledhill will be taking a break from her Edinburgh sketch show troupe Brethren of Levity to to join us, as will Jen Carnovale who describes herself as ‘Not a Person Person’ in her show at the Free Sisters.
We hope Cynthia Levin will be ready to make us laugh in spite of her show title ‘Unprepared for Life’ which she is preparing to take to the WhyNot? Club. Abi Roberts is also coming up to join us! Along with Funny Woman finalist Abigoliah Schaumann who is planning a subtle entrance at Just the Tonic.
Our good friends at Benefit Cosmetics will have make-uppers on hand during the evening offering makeovers to all who feel they would like a little Benefit beauty to make the night go with a bit of extra glamour.
