As two up-and-coming comediennes, O'Shea and O'Gaukroger have been delighting audiences everywhere with their witty, original brand of humour – but what would have happened had they chosen different careers? In their new show, A Comedy of Careers, a repertoire of characters, inventive sketches and hilarious songs takes them on a journey to find out.
Having previously toured the show up and down the country to great acclaim, Marina O'Shea and Tessa (O') Gaukroger are making their first stop in Manchester on 30th and 31st of July as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe. If you're unlucky enough to be missing it, don't panic – they'll be making further trips around the UK throughout July and August.
This is an exciting time for the pair – their most recent comedy short film, Beauty Contest, marks the fourth in a series of a six-part comedy collaboration with South-West based production company Cineon Productions. Their first film, Two Birds, One Pint, was screened on the opening night of the London Short Film Festival to rave reviews. Beauty Contest is aiming for similar success – after a screening at the Cambridge Strawberry Short Film festival on 31st May, it's going forward as part of a pitch to Channel 4's Comedy Blap series.
