So you’ve pressed ‘go’ and registered for this year’s Funny Women Awards. ‘Why?!’ you scream inwardly. Yet, you know why. You are funny. You just need to have the confidence to get on that stage and practise all the stuff that’s been going around your head for months, years, decades maybe…  it’s all in there, we promise!

Some of this year’s Awards entrants have already taken part in one of ourpopular Stand Up to Stand Out Workshops and our first Workshop Weekend (next one on 18th & 19th May – Earlybird still valid this week! BOOK NOW).  We can reassure you that it wasn’t just ‘Dutch courage’ that propelled you to press ‘enter’; it was because deep down you really want to perform, get on that stage and make people laugh.

So, if you’re still feeling wobbly and want another confidence boost ahead of your heat, we’re offering Awards entrants a very special Easter deal – £15 off of the full price of £65 for this Saturday’s Advance Workshop at the Leicester Square Theatre.  Yes, this means that you get three hours of expert tuition for just £50.

As if this isn’t enough, this Saturday’s workshop will be facilitated by some very special experts: Funny Women’s consultant producer, Karen Rosie, and 2013 Funny Women Awards finalist, Lucy Frederick

Karen Rosie is a former BBC comedy and entertainment producer, and works with us on major productions and the Funny Women Awards.  She is much respected within the comedy industry and has worked with many established acts including Ruby Wax, Dara O'Briain, Tommy Tiernan, Ardal O'Hanlon, Katie Wix & Anna Crilly.  More recently she worked as a consultant producer to Amnesty International’s  Secret Policeman's Ball, which took place at Radio City in New York, and the charity’s run of comedy events at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe. We're delighted that she's agreed to facilitate this Saturday.

Lucy Frederick reached the final of last year’s Funny Women Awards and is a highly acclaimed comedy performer and writer.  She is a regular facilitator for our improv 'playdates' and external workshops for companies and organisations.  Her fun approach will help you to overcome stage fright and improve your physicality.

All the details are HERE and if you want to come along just drop us a quick email now to info@funnywomen.com so that we can reserve your place and send you the special Paypal link for your £15 Awards discount.  Please note that numbers are limited so that we can give you the time and attention you deserve.
