This debut show from Ladies Live Longer, award winning duo Louise Fitzgerald and Victoria Temple-Morris is sure to delight Edinburgh audiences this August.
Winners of the Funny Women Variety Award 2011 and shortlisted for the Laughing Horse New Act Competition 2012, their publicity guarantees that ‘YOU will love them…. However they’re likely to offend the person sitting next to you.’
You won't be offended. The Ladies see this run at the Edinburgh Fringe as an elongated ‘work in progress’ which we think will be part of its charm. Given the track record of other brilliant sketch acts we’ve seen in the 10 years of Funny Women Awards, that’s part of the fun of it – no two performances are ever the same and sometimes it’s what’s not meant to happen that makes the breakthrough and gets the laughs.
From randy Women’s Institute members to the spooky Milliband brothers’ stalkers, no stone is left unturned in the quest of humour. These ladies know how to charm their audiences with the grotesque as well as glamour. All forms of human life are explored.
The finale is a tour de force and will have you chuckling on your way to work days later! We won’t give anything away because we want you to see the show – let’s just say that, if there was Olympic medal for mime the ladies would win in, and large amounts of talcum powder went into the creation of this last sketch!
Ladylike takes place from 2nd to 27th August at C Venue – C Nova, India Buildings, Victoria Street, Edinburgh EH1 1EX. BOOK NOW.
