We'll be heading down to Spitalfields Market in the City of London this Friday 29th June to join Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 music DJ and broadcaster, as she crosses the finish line of the Benefit Cosmetics' Mascarathon.

The Mascarathon runners have criss-crossed the country for the last three weeks, with women from all walks of life taking part, as well as celebrity runners such as Donna Air and Caroline Flack.

The Funny Women team will be there to cheer the runners over the finish line,  supporting our fabulous Awards sponsors Benefit Cosmetics as they raise money for Refuge, who provide help for victims of domestic abuse. So far the on-line total is over £18k but there is up to £30k already committed to this fantastic cause.

Together with Women’s Aid, our beneficiary charity for this year’s Funny Women Awards, Refuge runs the 24 hour national domestic violence helpline, an essential service that needs your continued financial support.

So, if you want to come and support us on Friday, look out for the girls in our distinctive 10th Anniversary t-shirts, here modelled by our new intern Chloe. Come and say hi! We'll have a few give aways and maybe a ticket or two for our semi-final show that night for some lucky winners.

It's not too late to donate, even if you're not running – for more details click the Benefit Cosmetics Mascarathon link HERE.  Go on – you know you want to!
