With just two days to go before we’re back at Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival this Wednesday for the seventh consecutive year, we’re offering Funny Women fans a special birthday treat!  As we are a whole 10 years old we don’t want you to miss out so come and party with us for just £10 for two people!

We are hosting a celebratory drinks reception followed by a prize winning show featuring performances from Funny Women favorites, Lara A King and Suzy Bennett, and hosted by Leicester’s very own Ishi Khan Jackson whose own sell out show, 'I Am Happy', has been a feature of this year’s Festival. Ishi recieved rave reviews for sharing her secrets to happiness. "Ishi rocked this eve. Many laughs & much needed Dancing!" (Audience member).

Suzy won the Funny Women Awards back in 2006 and is certainly one to watch this year – she has been snapped up for development by a big name management company and looks likely to be a fixture on this year’s festival circuit – so be sure to catch her here while you can.

Lara is our self-confessed ‘people pleaser’ having been crowned overall winner of last year’s Funny Women Awards.  She is also winning over audiences with her humorous sidelong look at life and we can guarantee that it won’t be long before deals are on the table for her too.

The Birthday treats don’t end there either.  Before we party we’re running one of our popular Stand Up to Stand Out Workshops, always a sellout in our home town of London, so we thought it only fair that we give the good women of Leicester the chance to hone their comedy skills at a very special 10th Birthday rate of just £25! (usually £45) which you can only BOOK HERE.

The workshop lasts two hours and is a brilliant introduction to stand up and a great confidence boost.  Many participants have continued to perform after discovering their comedic skill with us. Who knows, maybe you could be entering this year’s Funny Women Awards just as the likes of Zoe Lyons and Andi Osho once did?
