Still in the afterglow of the Funny Women Awards Final, we're coming back to Leicester Square Theatre for a series of autumn showcases – Funny Women London Nights! Very pleased to have comedian, columnist and sitcom writer Hannah Isherwood on board booking what are sure to be highly entertaining evenings.

We have moved to a new night and time for October and November – MORE HERE – and have a cracking line-up including this year's Awards winner Lara A King.

MC: ABI ROBERTS

Abi is a sensational performer who has packed out Theatres in Edinburgh and London. "Abi is one of the funniest women I've seen in 30 years" Barry Took, "A master impersonator " Three Weeks (Edinburgh Festival) "From the very likeable to the very memorable" Evening Standard.

HEADLINER – LARA A KING

We welcome Lara A King to headline this night for us, having recently won the prestigious Funny Women Awards 2011!  "It does sound trite to say everybody was a winner, but in the Funny Women Awards they really are all winners because to get to the final is a long road. That said, there was no contest when it came to the overall winner.  Lara A King won by a mile."

LUCY FREDERICK

Lucy Frederick, Up The Creek One to Watch finalist, brings affable middle class confusion to the microphone. An actor, writer and fat model, Lucy has been performing as a stand up for two years and has had two comedy plays produced by London fringe theatres.

NAOMI HEFTER

Naomi was voted funniest person at school and went on to study comedy acting and creative writing at university. After writing her first book, Gemini's are Wankers, in 2009 she went on to do a course in Stand up at the Camden comedy school, and has been on the circuit ever since.  "You are just a ball of energy on legs”, "Naomi is the female Jim Carrey!", "Eccentric, animated and fun to watch”, “A posh Lee Evans".

KATHERINE BENNETT

Katherine came second place in Funny Women Awards 2011.  'She was, for a couple of the judges, their winning act,' Funny Women. 'It’s hard to believe this was Katherine’s first gig…star quality….she delighted the audience' The Brighton and Hove Argus, 18th April 2008. Katherine has been performing stand-up comedy since 2008, wrong-footing audiences with her unique brand of observation and deadpan delivery.

ELENA PROCOPIU

Elena Procopiu’s cutting and sharp style is unapologetically brilliant. She is a well known and popular comic and this year alone she has reached the semi finals of The Laughing Horse new act of the year competition and Channel 4’s So You Think You're Funny.

BIANCA ARLETTE

Bianca is a rising star within the comedy circuit. She has performed at venues such as Downstairs At the King's Head, Comic Boom at the Brighton Komedia, and Up The Creek.

TANIA EDWARDS

Very talented” Time Out, “beautifully natural, unpretentious, chatty style” Chortle, “Genuinely funny jokes combined with personable style of delivery to create just the right atmosphere for some brilliant banter” Three Weeks, “urban sharpster” The Stage, Hackney Empire NATY Finalist 2011, Latitude New Act Of The Year Finalist 2009, Funny Women Awards Finalist 2009, Leicester Square Theatre Finalist 2009, Jongleurs/FHM Regional Finalist 2009, Amused Moose Finalist 2008.
