For this month’s Gig Guide, we are excited to announce our Edinburgh Fringe Festival Takeover. What this means is, we have put together a list of shows that we’d recommend seeing at the Fringe – from traditional and award winning stand-up, fresh new debuters, right through to variety shows, including sketch, cabaret, clowning and theatre.

The month that marks the countdown before the Edinburgh Fringe Festival takes over Scotland (and the comedy/Arts scene in general) in August, and so plays host to all the acts’ preview shows, where comics perform work in progress material before bringing the slick finished product to the Fringe.

Well, it’s finally here. Spring has finally sprung in the capital, which means longer days, outdoor beers under tree blossom, and exactly as our Lord April Fool* himself would have wanted, a month jam-packed full of brilliant comedy.
